WE MUST ACT!
Our last natural forests are being cut down at a rapid pace to make way for large-scale plantations, while the forestry industry and government authorities say that everything is fine and there are no more clear-cuts. They say that for every tree felled, two new ones are planted, but a pine plantation is no more a forest than a wheat field is a flower meadow. Only a few percent of Sweden's productive forest land is protected, far from the levels needed to meet the government's own targets for biodiversity conservation and carbon storage.
Our forests are in a state of emergency. Do you want to join the fight against clear-cutting and for Sami rights? Are you also fed up with the colonization of Sápmi? Welcome to the rebellion!
